Questions about our services

How long until a drought-adapted garden is fully established?

Most native plants need one to two growing seasons to develop deep root systems. During this time they require supplemental watering, though less than traditional gardens. Once established, many species can survive on rainfall alone in most years.

Can these gardens look lush and green?

Drought-adapted does not mean barren. Many indigenous plants have silver-green foliage, seasonal blooms, and interesting textures. The aesthetic is different from a traditional lawn, but many clients find it more visually interesting once they adjust to the new palette.

Do you work on existing gardens or only new installations?

Both. We can gradually transform existing landscapes by replacing high-water plants as they decline, improving irrigation efficiency, and enhancing soil. Complete transformations are also possible if you prefer a fresh start.

What maintenance do these gardens require?

Less than conventional gardens once established. Seasonal pruning, occasional weeding, mulch replenishment, and irrigation adjustments are the main tasks. We offer maintenance services or can train you to handle it yourself.
